Polished Desert Sunset slab DS181 polished jasper Very unusual piece with muchDS181 Desert Sunset slab, polished on one side. Dimensions at widest points approximately 145 mm x 75 mm x 8 mm thick. Weighs 188 grams. Desert Sunset is a banded iron formation that is comprised of alternating layers of red and yellow jasper and chert with narrow bands of black hematite. It comes from near Fields Find, a small abandoned gold mining centre in the Midwest region of Western Australia.
