The heart is part of the envelope that contained the letter to Alice. The background is the inspiration for the title. It is a letter dated 1930, sent to Alice in Massachusetts. The tiny ring is a band of vintage metallic envelope liner. I chose two kinds of antique lace for the cuff. It adds a decidedly feminine touch to this piece. The frame is
