Olivier Leflaive, Puligny Montrachet Champ Canet Vintage:2019 I mildly prefer the Bienvenues-Bâtard-MontrachetModerate wood sets off the pear and apple compote aromas that are cut with hints of acacia blossom and freshly sliced fennel. There is more refinement to the sleek, delicious and sappy flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while delivering fine length on the lemony finale. Like several wines in the range, this needs to develop more depth, but it should do just that in time.
