Mahonia fargesii eventually reaches 3. 5' tall with typical spiny green mahonia foliage sort of like a dwarf Mahonia bealei. The plants are topped from mid October through mid November with lovely bright yellow tassels. The flowers are subsequently replaced with bright blue fruit in February March.
