Brushed silk was developed to replicate the look of beaver fur. This hat was sold by Gerald Preston of 109 Sparks St, Ottawa Gerald Preston was at that location between 1939 and 1948, so it is easy to date the hat to that time period. The hat was made in England by Christys of London, well known for making quality hats. The
