I was having a ball catching a variety of fish when a guy drinking his morning coffee slid up next to me and said quietly out of the corner of his mouth, “You know, you are the only guy catching anything out on this pier.” I told him, “Yeah, I noticed that, and it’s strange because I’m the dumb guy from Wisconsin.” He said, “I knew it!” Turns out, he was a Wisconsin transplant and watched people fish on this pier every day, and he said that he could tell when they were people from the Midwest, “because they knew how to fish!” So, let’s all take that as a compliment, but the bottom line is that…fishing is fishing
